Everyone had smooth sailing today and arrived in Honduras safe and sound. We started our time at the Mission House with a quick orientation followed by a nice chicken dinner topped off with Tres Leche cake for dessert. Our initial get-to-know each other meeting went well and we've begun the process of becoming a team; discussing our plans for the week; divvying up responsibilities and lifting up each other in prayer.
Many of us began our trips in the wee hours of the morning so we're pretty tired this evening. However, this being a Peace Lutheran team there are a few of us playing euchre despite the fatigue.
Sunday we will divide into our two teams and attend church at the church in which we will serve on Monday and Tuesday. We'll let you know how it goes.
