In our sharing time tonight, we spent a lot of time reflecting on our interactions with people who are not sure if they will go to heaven. Many of the people we talk to in the evangelism station tell us that they believe in Christ but also aren't sure that they will go to heaven. Some people think that they aren't good enough. Others think they have done things in the past that will keep them from heaven. When we share Scripture with them, they often come to realize the truth that everyone who truly believes in Christ is forgiven of all their sins and will in fact go to heaven.
Maybe you have the same doubts. But if you are a believer in Jesus Christ then you can have assurance of your salvation. One of our team members shared this passage from John 14:1-4 which captures a conversation between Jesus and His disciples, and we hope it gives you assurance and confidence.
"Let not your heart be troubled: you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know."
The place is heaven and the way there is through faith in Christ. We look forward to seeing you there!
