Our two teams went their separate ways this morning and both teams experienced Honduras in all its glory. Team A ended up parking in a cemetery before ascending the alleys up a hill to the church where they were serving while Team B wound its way west of town and then down rain-soaked muddy streets to their church site. By the time we arrived, the sun was out, and people were using their umbrellas to shade themselves from the intense light.
Both teams provided medical, optical, dental services along with a pharmacy and a children's ministry area. We also distributed water filters to 6 homes in the vicinity of each church. Doing ministry brings emotional highs as you see the physical and spiritual needs of the people we are serving being met. It also brings emotional lows as you realize that you can't meet all their needs, or a when a person rejects Christ and the Gospel. However, our job is to just keep serving and sharing the Gospel. The rest is up to God. So tomorrow we will be back at it again.
Below you will find some photos from both teams. We hope you find your friends and family pictured.
