What's Happening

Day two of serving was met with warm hearts for our team AND from our team despite the gloomy weather. One of the team's routes involved walking through a very old cemetery, ducking through a hole in a brick wall, and ascending a steep hill to reach the church.

When we witness the needs of the Honduran people, it is easy to understand why so many team members continue to do this trip annually.  The Honduran people have lots of physical needs, as well as spiritual needs that are only met in Jesus.

As three guys writing a blog, we decided it best to just give you the rest in the form of a stat summary recap of the first two days. Using our God-given abilities and relying on the Holy Spirit, we have served in these areas:

1. Medical - saw and provided medication to 659 patients.

2. Optical - examined and provided glasses and sunglasses to 425 patients.

3. Dental - treated 145 people including extractions, fillings, and cleanings.

4. Children - sang songs and proclaimed the gospel story to 151 kids, while also washing hair and providing lice treatments as necessary.

5. Evangelism -
Eighteen people were welcomed into Christ's kingdom for the first time.
Forty-three people recommitted to Jesus.
Hundreds of people poured out their hearts, and we took all their needs to the Lord in prayer.

6. Water filters - Clean water was provided via the assembly of water filters in 20 homes.  Beautiful symbolism of Jesus purifying our lives was presented using this life-changing water system.

The Honduran people continue to impress us with their resilience, joyfulness, thankfulness, family dedication, and their sense of community. We have been greatly blessed in serving the beautiful people of Honduras.
