One Final Day

Today was our last day of serving. Our morning devotion was spent glorifying our God through song and it was a beautiful way to start the day. We were blessed this week with many talented musicians and singers to lead us in worship.

After our day of service, the team met in the evening and spent some time talking about the ways that we saw God at work throughout the week. There were numerous ways and we encourage readers of this blog to ask those that went to share their stories.

Friday night is a time of games, snacks and the annual Euchre tournament. It's a time to have one last night of fun together before we head our separate ways tomorrow morning.

At the end of this blog entry is a link to a video put together by the staff here at WGO. They are wonderful people and did all they could to make us feel welcome and loved. It truly was a home away from home.

Enjoy these last few photos and make sure you stop by here on Sunday for one final entry from this year's team.

Letting our light shine

Today brought both teams to new churches. Many Hondurans' physical needs were treated in medical, dental, and optical. Then, their spiritual needs were met through evangelism. The children were told the story of salvation, received a salvation bracelet, and had their hair washed and nails polished. A special thanks to those who worked so hard to make the 1300 bracelets we were able to give to all the children we spent time with.

Tomorrow is our final day to serve. Please pray that God will continue to strengthen us for this final day; to keep us healthy, and to heal those that have been dealing with stomach issues.

There are so many pictures to share from today.

2 Corinthians 4:5-6 "For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness," made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ."

A day at the Ranch

For the medical mission team, it was a day of rest. There was a much needed extra hour of sleep before devotion. After breakfast, most of the team took the bus to Rancho Ebenezer. We were given a tour and spent some time with the kids during their school recess. Those of us who are part of the WGOKids program were also able to meet and spend time with the child we sponsor. That was a huge treat. There is a link at the bottom of this blog entry to see more information about the Ranch and WGOKids. A fun bonus to being at the Ranch is seeing our other team members. Those who spend the week at the Ranch help with the various construction projects that are needed. It was great to see them. Today's pictures are of them working hard on all their various projects.

After their trip to the Ranch, the medical mission team visited Cristo Del Picacho (a local national park which you can Google for information.) Tomorrow it's back to serving at two new churches.
